My Four Go-to Pairs of Shoes as a Crossdresser [On Amazon]
By Jenn der Bentson
Shoes are one of the things that any crossdresser associates with more feminine expression. There is no doubt that many women have a variety of shoes that they wear with different outfits, for different occasions, or even different moods. For crossdressers, picking shoes comes with the added challenge of determining size, and for those of us who are not “out” to family, friends, or willing to shop for our female clothing in public, picking up a quick pair of shoes for the outfit you just got is a little harder.
I have tried many different options, but there are a few that I have bought that I have kept and keep wearing. They seem to be good general options, and best of all, they all arrive to your home in Amazon.com shipping boxes that look like any other package arriving to your house. If that is of concern to you.
With that said, and with no further delay, here are four different shoes (a couple of them available in multiple colors) that I wouldn’t want to go without in my crossdressing wardrobe. All of these come in larger sizes that have at least worked for my normally size 12 men’s shoe.
Comfort Plus by Predictions Women’s Karma Mid-Heel Round Toe Pump
A high-heel shoe that is a little sturdier heel, slightly wider than some stiletto types, this shoe comes in a few different colors. A moderate height makes it something that won’t make you tumble, plus the heal is a little thicker and more stable. As a plus sized individual, it has held up even for me. This one has been a go to shoe for my female alter-ego.

Comfortview Women’s Wide Width The Lyra Flat
I mean, who can go without some flats? High heels are more feminine and sexy, flats are great for us “taller girls” who might want to draw a little less attention to ourselves. They are also a lot more comfortable to walk in and wear over longer periods of time. With a little stretch around the top band, they fit closely and have been a comfort wear for full day dressing opportunities when they arise.

Brinley Co. Womens Levin Faux Suede Comfort Sole Chunky Heel Almond Toe Triple Elastic Strap Heels
When you want something with a little more detail, less plain, or even a little more classy to go with that dress up dress, this one has been a good option for me. Available in a couple of colors, the straps on it add a little upgrade from a basic shoe and the wide heel adds good stability. The moderate heel is high enough to accentuate those legs, but not too high to make you end up towering and tottering.

Funtasma – 3″ Block Heel Gogo Boot, Side Zip
Every girl needs a set of boots, right? Without going full go-go dancer on the thigh high boots, these are a great middle ground from low cut shoes to something that has a mid-calf height. I have enjoyed them when the temperatures get cooler and they go well with skirts. The wide toe on this particular boot gives a little extra foot room and adds comfort. These also have a wider heel for stability, I think you might see a trend here in my recommendations.
Honestly, these are probably my most comfortable girl shoes, and in fact, there are days I think they are more comfortable than my guy shoes. Some days I wish I was wearing these instead even when in “guy mode”.

So, those are my four recommendations for shoes you might want to consider. None of them will set you back much on the budget, but all of them have been solid go-to shoes for me with multiple dressing outfits. I hope that if you try them you find them equally valuable.
Any suggestions you think need to be on the list for others to consider?
